Very proud and excited to announce that we have been selected as a finalist in the Dance School of the Year Awards for schools with up to 100 students.
From the Press Release... Anne Walker MBE, a former dance teacher who has founded and run a number of businesses including International Dance Supplies, created these Awards to celebrate this incredible industry. She says: “Dance teachers should be applauded and celebrated. So much more than just a teacher – they are almost a substitute parent to many of their students as they are role models, mentors and social workers, offering support, stability and a disciplined approach to life. They instil a love of dance, music and theatre which will hopefully turn many students into tomorrow’s theatre-goers if not performers or teachers. Fellow dance teachers have supported me in my career over many years and now I hope, through these Awards, we can all celebrate the life-long passion for dance and the achievements of theatre dance teachers everywhere.”

Parent and child flamenco has changed to become a child only flamenco technique class for ages 6 upwards. Younger children can dance alongside older, more experienced dancers in the group.
I hope that you have had a wonderful summer. I am looking forward to seeing you all again the week commencing Monday 8th September.
The first week is also "Taster Week" which gives your child the chance to have one free taster session in any new subject (see timetable.) Depending on numbers, they may even be able to bring a friend but you will need to book. All children and students are required to wear the correct uniform for each class. Please check that all items still fit and are clearly labelled to prevent loss. Please email if you wish to order anything. I still have tickets available for "Alice in Wonderland" at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden on friday 19th December @2pm £28 each. Students from all across all the age groups had fantastic workshop experiences with teacher Michael Reynaud (ex. English National Ballet dancer). Michael quickly built up confidence and a rapport with the groups and and led some very inspiring and exciting sessions.
The youngest group were introduced to Coppelia, the seniors worked on La Fille Mal Gardee and the middle group danced to Swan Lake. These workshops were provided by Professional Dance Experience, (director Michael Berkin) |
